I slept in the back of the station wagon next to this river and put the drone up to catch some images at sunrise. One of the drone shots is the basis for this piece. I have used a lot of oil pastel including some metallic colours which bring a subtle shimmer to this piece. This is the 2nd piece based on the Rakiai river mouth.

Original mixed media on 300 gsm watercolour paper.

Unframed. The white border around the artwork is left so it is easy for the framer to frame right up to the artwork. Any smudges on the border will be hidden by a mat when framing.

Love Miranda Caird's Work

I have a large original of Mirana's which make a real statement in my large entrance way. and everyone comments how beautiful it looks - the colours, the line, the detailed patterns on the mountains. I have three other prints in my house and they add a distinctive eye-catching spark to every room. I have also added the cushion covers to my Bed and Breakfast area along with one of the prints in A3 as they have such individuality to them. I am hoping to spread the word so others can enjoy Miranda's unique style. It is so nice that you make prints for people like me who love art but who on the pension. I would love the originals but am thrilled with the quality of your prints, which means you share your art with the masses. I think you are very talented.
